Kent Crisps picked up a Gold Award for their Lamb and Rosemary Crisps at the prestigious Taste of Kent Awards 2024.
The award ceremony brought together Kent’s vibrant food and drink industry under one roof to celebrate the very best food and drink producers that Kent has to offer.
Organised by Produced In Kent, the celebrations began with the Taste of Kent Festival which took place in The Gulbenkian, Canterbury where industry experts, producers and the general public could meet the finalists and sample their products during the day, before enjoying a VIP drinks reception ahead of the ceremony.
Kent Crisps had two crisp flavours shortlisted in the ‘Kent Confectionary & Snack Product of The Year’ category: Lamb and Rosemary, and Ashmore Cheese and Onion.
Kent Crisps Lamb and Rosemary flavour was awarded Gold, whilst Ashmore Cheese and Onion was awarded Bronze. The judges said the Lamb and Rosemary crisps were ‘delicious, with a great depth of flavour’.
The Lamb and Rosemary crisps were launched in 2021 and uses grass-fed lamb from the Kent Shepherd Farm in Romney Marsh, staying true to their signature approach of partnering with iconic Kentish ingredients.
Meanwhile group businesses Kentish Oils and Condiments and A Little Bit Food were finalists in the ‘Kent Savoury Pantry Product of the Year’ category, with the Cold-Pressed Rapeseed Oil infused with Lemon picking up a Gold Award and A Little Bit Food’s Vegan Caesar Dressing picking up Silver. A Little Bit Food was also awarded ‘Kent Free-From Business of the Year’.

Kent Crisps was founded in 2011and produce an award-winning range of hand-cooked crisps inspired by local flavours, made using Red Tractor assured British potatoes.
