However, that does now mean that a rare and exciting opportunity has now opened for the right individual to join the Kent Crisps team as our new Finance Assistant.
Experience & key skills
We’re looking for an Excel wizard, with a strong attention to detail, with 2-3 years of experience in an accounts-based role with an AAT or equivalent qualification.
As a small business, we’re looking for someone personable, friendly and willing to get stuck in across the business. You’ll need to be confident speaking to customers and suppliers, working closely with all the team.
About the role
You’ll play a key role in delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, planning and analysis for our management team, helping them understand our financial performance, allowing us to reach our performance goals.
- Preparing weekly and monthly customer sales, gross margin and company performance management information
- Preparing end of month management accounts, including expenses, fixed asset and payroll analysis
- Weekly review of debtors and sales ledger

We produce an award-winning range of hand-cooked, traditional crisps inspired by local flavours, made using British red tractor assured potatoes. We are one of the last remaining independently owned and operated snack brand and our ethos is to produce seriously delicious crisps, partnering with some of the best local producers and tourist attractions in Kent, showcasing the best our county has to offer.
Contract: This is a full-time role, although we would consider 4 days per week for the right candidate.
Salary: £24-27k, dependent on experience
